Pianist International Festival and Competition, Germany
In June 4-10 the city of Bad Toelz in Germany hosted the pianist international festival and competition – “Clavis-Bavaria”. As a member of the jury, the festival organizers invited the deputy director of Tbilisi E. Mikeladze Central Music School – Mrs. Tina Gvineria. Mrs. Gvineria also took part in seminars and masterclasses where she gave a speech about Georgian piano music as well as presented her monography of “The Piano Music for Left Hand – History, Theory, Performance”. It has to be mentioned that the both of her presentations were highly interesting for the audience.
Moreover, Mrs. Tina Gvineria was given an offer concerning establishing the special prize in the competition. Therefore, Mrs. Gvineria awarded the 12-year old young pianist Andrei Filonov from Moscow with the special prize for the best performance of the classic sonata.
Besides, as a guest of the festival, Tata Kvantaliani, 10th grader student of Mrs. Gvineria held her solo concert within the festival. The concert was very successful as well
