Folk songs choir in the World Peace Choral Festival, Vienna

The Choir of E. Mikeladze Central Music School participated in the 10th World Peace Choral Festival in Vienna. The festival events took place at the United Nations Headquarters in Vienna and famous concert halls in Vienna such as Wiener Konzerthaus (opening ceremony) and Musikverein Golden Hall (gala concert). Despite the mentioned events, the choir took part in two concerts of peace at MuTh Concert Hall and St. Rupert’s Church which is the oldest church in Vienna. Moreover, the choir participated in the festival project called “Music Without Borders” and performed at senior house. Also, the choir attended its personal workshop directed by the one of the conductors of the host choir – Vienna Boys Choir at Vienna Boys Choir Residence, Augarten Palace. As well as, the choir members supported UNICEF by selling Georgian souvenirs at festival donation sales. After the festival, the choir held a concert for local Georgians in Vienna which was organized by the Georgia Diaspore and the Embassy of Georgia in Austria.
The Austrian tour will be broadcast by the famous Georgian TV Channel “Imedi” in September.
